For years now, avid Guns N’ Roses fans have heard many a rumour that the band would finally be reforming; but these rumours have been dismissed by both guitarist Slash and frontman Axl Rose, who have been known to have their differences, a contributing factor in the split of the rock and roll band. Recently, Rose and Slash have hinted at an original lineup return, as they try and set aside old differences to prepare for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

Slash has admitted to doing a lot of ‘soul searching’ after receiving the news of his former band’s induction into the list of the best rock bands, as well as checking up on old performance footage of the group. In a recent interview with Esquire magazine, he noted the hunger and attitude that he sess when the band performs, saying it was “a lean, hungry thing on its way up”. He went on to talk about the split between him and Axl, explaining that it was a quiet one but due to the huge amount of media attention it was blown completely out of proportion.

Rose has commented on the premature news that he will not be appearing in the lineup for the band’s induction, saying “I’ve got mixed emotions about what the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame actually really is, but at the same time… I really don’t want to spoil it for everybody else.”

Do you want to see a reunion of the legends that are Guns N’ Roses, or is it best to leave the band in the past and let their induction pass by?
