Disney have released the first teaser trailer for their forthcoming live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

The brief teaser, which lasts for only a minute and a half, offers us a looming glimpse at the magnificent castle in which the ‘tale as old as time’ takes place. We are also given a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it look at Emma Watson’s Belle, as she inspects the enchanted rose that decides the fate of Dan Stevens’ yet-to-be-seen Beast.

The film also stars Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father, Maurice; Josh Gad as Lefou; Ewan McGregor as Lumiere the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe; Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Directed by Bill Condon, Beauty and the Beast will arrive in UK cinemas on 17th March 2017.
