The Great British Bake-Off has become an iconic piece of British television and with 10million tuning in last week for the semi-final it’s no wonder The Edge have decided to give you our insight live. After Flora crashed out on chocolate week we were left with our three finalists, Nadia Hussain, Ian Cumming and Tamal Ray.
Nadiya has famously struggled with pastry but after a cracking chocolate tart received star baker for the semi-final. She is also famous for her great quips and on-point facial expressions. Ian has been somewhat of a controversial contestant from the beginning, winning star baker for three consecutive weeks at the start of the season made him everyone’s competition. He was soon brought back to earth with various struggles with cake and cream horns, however, his inventive home-made tools remain a season favourite. Trainee anaesthetist, Tamal has continued to grow in strength from day one proving an early contender with his syringe infused pudds. Tamal has achieved his three goals on bake-off which were to survive week one, achieve star baker and receive the coveted Paul Hollywood handshake. But who will take home the crown tonight?
