US pop-rock band, Maroon 5 have released an official video for their new single, ‘This Summer’s Gonna Hurt Like A Motherf***er’.

The black and white video depicts a day in the life of lead singer, Adam Levine, as he prepares for a show.

Co-directed by Travis Schneider and Levine, the five and a half minute video has caused something of a fluster online, due to a scene in which the singer appears nude. Emerging from the shower before a show, Levine – who was named the ‘sexiest man alive’ by People magazine in 2013 – proceeds to get dressed, but not before dropping his towel and giving us all a fleeting peek at his bottom.

The video was filmed during one of two gigs that the band has at London’s SSE Arena – the venue formerly known as Wembley. The group recently had to cancel a concert in Liverpool after Levine was taken ill, but have since resumed their world tour.

The single – which will appear as a bonus track on the upcoming reissue of the band’s 2014 album, V -made its first live debut on the US version of The Voice, where Levine is a judge.

The release date of the reissued version of V is yet to be announced.
