It has been revealed that the global pop artist, Lorde, will release the first single from the upcoming soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. As well as releasing the lead single, Lorde will also be curating the soundtrack for the upcoming action-adventure blockbuster.

The news was confirmed by Lionsgate as well as Lorde sharing the news to her followers on her Twitter. Discussing the project, Lorde has said: “Curating the soundtrack for such a hotly-anticipated film was a challenge, but I jumped at the chance… I think the soundtrack is definitely going to surprise people.”

The soundtrack will be released via Republic Records later this year, as well as the film hitting UK’s big screens on 21st November 2014.
